PASTOR LESLIE L. GALES, Sr.

Pastor Gales, one of eight children, was born July 13, 1954 in Manhattan, New York City to the late Elder Arthur L. Gales,Sr. and Sister Faustina Gales, who was a mother to many, a "True" missionary and prayer warrior. The Lord had plans for Pastor Gales, nurturing him in holiness as a young child at Bethel Tabernacle, P.A.W., holiness church located in the middle of the Village of Harlem, New York City.
Pastor Gales was baptized in Jesus' name in 1989 at the "Mother Church," The Greater Refuge Temple in New York City. After receiving the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of the Living God gave him the utterance, God called him to the ministry in 1995. He became a member of the New York based Brotherhood Mass Choir and was appointed as associate minister in the "All Night" prayer services held each Friday night at The Greater Refuge Temple located in New York City.

The Lord called Pastor Gales out from New York City in 1998, along with his wife Missionary Rose Gales and their five children and ordered his steps to Northern Virginia , where he and his family pioneered God's Living Word Church.

Pastor Leslie L. Gales, Sr. is the Senior Pastor and Founder of God's Living Word Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostolic Faith, Inc. in Dumfries, VA. God's Living Word Church had it's humble beginnings in the home of Pastor Gales in the year 2000. With the help of those whom the Lord will send to you, Pastor Gales was presented with an opportunity in the year 2001 to worship with his congregation in a church building located at 9061 Main and Church Streets in Manassas, Va., an offer Pastor Gales could not resist taking. God extended His favor towards Gods Living Word Church for six years at that location.

God's Living Word Church is a flourishing, Spirit-filled, holiness-Pentecostal church located in beautiful Northern Virginia. The church was founded on Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord!”

His preaching and teaching gifts are unique, in that, while practical and pastoral, they are at the same time, revelatory and life changing. Pastor Gales has a great desire to see the five-fold ministry come back into place, equipping the Saints to do the work of the ministry, thus allowing the apostolic move of God to come into full fruition in the earth.

Pastor Gales has traveled throughout this region, conducting numerous revivals and seminars, preaching and teaching an uncompromising message that Jesus Christ is still the answer for a world that is in need of answers.

Pastor Gales spent time in his education at Fordham University in New York City for business management. He also attended Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. for his legal studies that qualified him as a paralegal in the litigation department of the prominent corporate law firm, Proskauer, Rose, Goetz and Mendelsohn. Pastor Gales also received his ministerial training and license at The Bible Church of Christ Institute in New York. He is an ordained Pastor in the Mid-Atlantic Diocese Region of The Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Incorporated.

Pastor Gales' belief is that the "Church" was founded upon the "Love of God" and is the principle ingredient for drawing those that are lost to Christ. God's Living Word Church is a church on the move where everybody is somebody and Jesus is Lord. It is the Church chosen by God for the blessing of multitudes.

LADY ROSE M. GALES

Mother Gales labors diligently at God's Living Word Church where her husband is the Senior Pastor.

Mother Rose Gales was born October 31, 1956, Flushing Queens, New York to the late Clyde and Ruth Lowery. She is one of nine children who was raised to know the Lord at a very early age. Due to the premature passing of her mother, Ruth Lowery, the family was now independently lead by her father, Clyde Lowery. Having only the Lord to turn to with nine children, Clyde Lowery knew that prayer, Bible Study and church attendance would be the only successful way to raise his children. Now the proof is taking root in the Lowery family. Just ask Mother Gales' oldest sister, Mrs. Shelly Johnson of Bridgeport Connecticut. She will testify, "if it had not been for the Lord who was on our side..." 'You can finish the rest...'

Mother Rose Gales also serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at the church. Mother Gales hosts and coordinates the Annual God's Living Word Woman's Conference. Her goal for the women of God's Living Word Church is for each of them to reach their full potential in Jesus. She is an anointed teacher of God's Word and a licensed Missionary in the Churches of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has poured a fresh anointing upon her to deliver a powerful, sure Word to God's people. She and her husband are the proud parents of five children who also assist them in the ministry. The Lord has made Mother Gales "Mother" to many more of the young people at G.L.W.C.
